POSITION SUMMARY
As the Director of Solutions and Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, and growth of Retail, Mobile Services, and Vendor Managed Inventory solutions. Supporting regional leadership teams to execute on goals, while driving continuous improvement initiatives and developing new offers. You will play a critical role in fostering strong relationships with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Category Managers, and Suppliers, across all MCE business channels. This position requires a detail-oriented, growth-focused individual with exceptional organizational leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
This role is hybrid and can be hired in the Minneapolis, Chicago, or Milwaukee area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Aggressively drive sales activity and revenue growth objectives across Retail and VMI teams
- Lead the development and execution of strategies for enhancing our retail footprint for both local store front and market level sales growth
- Ensure each store operates with proper procedures and behaviors to maintain the supplier rank of Platinum
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to drive partnership opportunities, increase brand awareness, and enhance retail performance
- Ensure seamless integration between retail operations, merchandising, and inventory management
- Partner with Sales team to identify opportunities to connect with customers, selling the value of MCE and sharing the value received in executive business reviews
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and sales, to optimize inventory management processes and support overall business objectives
- Oversee the implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of the VMI program to ensure a seamless flow of inventory for customers
- Develop sales enablement content such as datasheets, presentations, case studies, and additional sales collateral
- Monitor performance related to VMI, including stock levels, order accuracy, and vendor performance
- Continuously assess and improve the VMI program’s effectiveness, addressing challenges and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Participate in customer meetings and presentations to discuss program performance, results, and recommendations for improvement
- Create and manage new processes or refine existing to streamline operations and increase efficiency
- Educate sales team members on offering and technology of VMI as the service is introduced to all business channels within MCE
- Perform other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability
- Support leadership team through business performance reviews and action plans for each region in pursuit of rapid growth
- Drive accountability with leaders across all of Solutions and Service to ensure they’re scheduling time with their team members to drive a culture of accountability on all levels
- Develop and execute training programs to ensure teams are well-equipped to execute retail and VMI strategies
- Work with senior leadership to develop long-term plans and ensure alignment with overall company goals
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field or proven experience in related field
- Proven experience of 5 years in sales, retail, and operations management with seller partnership
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.
