Description

We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join General Machinery an MCE company. This role is critical in ensuring our customers receive excellent service and timely solutions for their needs related to pumps, blowers, vacuum pumps, air compressors, air dryers, and parts sales. The Inside Sales Representative is an extension to the outside sales team and will play an integral role in providing technical support, preparing quotes, processing orders, and fostering customer relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Collaborate with the outside sales team to support customer inquiries and ensure smooth communication between sales teams and clients.
  • Answer customer questions regarding product specifications, availability, and lead times for pumps, blowers, vacuum pumps, air compressors, air dryers, and related parts.
  • Prepare accurate price quotes, proposals, and technical specifications for customers. Process orders in a timely manner, ensuring all details are correct.
  • Assist customers with parts sales by identifying required parts, quoting, and following up on orders. Maintain an organized record of parts inventory and pricing.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of products, applications, and industry standards to provide technical assistance and product recommendations.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and provide exceptional service.
  • Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and resolve any issues related to product delivery, availability, or warranty.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Work closely with other departments (inventory, shipping, service) to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and parts.
  • Assist in identifying new sales opportunities and support marketing efforts to grow the customer base.

Qualifications


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • 2 years of inside sales experience in the industrial equipment sector, preferably with pumps, blowers, air compressors, or similar products.
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, air compressors, blowers, vacuum pumps, and related parts is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM software.
  • Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with technical products is a plus.
