Logistics Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced 3PL and Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our logistics and warehousing operations. This role involves managing relationships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring efficient supply chain processes, and driving cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to foster collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logistics Strategy Development:
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive logistics plans to optimize supply chain efficiency, minimize costs, and meet customer expectations.
  • Develop contingency strategies to address disruptions in the supply chain.

• 3PL Provider Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Evaluate the performance of 3PL partners and ensure adherence to service agreements.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with logistics partners to achieve optimal value while maximizing service levels to our customers.
• Shipping and Delivery Coordination:
  • Monitor and coordinate shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Implement tracking systems to provide visibility and resolve delivery delays proactively.
• Performance Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze key logistics performance indicators, such as cost efficiency, delivery times, and error rates.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership on logistics performance trends and recommendations for improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay updated on transportation and customs regulations, ensuring compliance across all logistics activities.
  • Implement processes to adhere to environmental standards and ethical practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with procurement, sales, and production teams to ensure alignment between logistics operations and business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address logistical challenges and opportunities.
• Technology Integration:
  • Identify and deploy logistics software and tools to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the implementation of digital solutions such as automated tracking systems or ERP platforms.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to streamline logistics operations.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and apply best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success in managing complex logistics operations, including coordinating shipments, warehouse activities, and inventory management.
• Proven ability to negotiate favorable contracts with third-party logistics providers, resulting in cost savings and improved service levels.
• Hands-on experience implementing process improvements to streamline supply chain workflows and reduce lead times.
• Extensive background in resolving logistics challenges such as shipping delays and inventory discrepancies.
• Track record of developing and executing logistics strategies that align with business objectives.
• Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration to achieve operational goals.
• Practical expertise in ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Strong analytical skills, applied in evaluating logistics performance metrics and identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Experience integrating technology into logistics operations, including the use of ERP systems and warehouse management software.
• Proven adaptability to dynamic market conditions, with success in mitigating risks and maintaining efficiency during disruptions.
