Position Summary :
Responsible for overseeing the production of hose and assemblies in accordance with order specifications and ensuring that all hose assembly orders and kits are completed and shipped in time to comply with customer's required dates. The Hose Production Supervisor will oversee the Hose Assembly team within the branch.
Primary Duties :
- Supervises hose production operations and participates in production activities to learn processes, suggest improvements, and meet deadlines.
- Coordinates scheduling of production personnel to meet customer requirements, develops scheduling tools, and collaborates with the Warehouse Manager to optimize staff sharing and minimize overtime.
- Attends weekly meetings to review customer delivery performance, expediting, quality, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Ensures adherence to quality assurance procedures and communicates with the Branch Manager and sales representatives to meet customer requirements.
- Manages the organization, layout, and cleanliness of inventory, equipment, and work areas.
- Works with the PEPPI team to manage bin locations, overflow stock, inventory variances, and perform cycle counts.
- Hires, trains, and manages production personnel, including handling absences, temporary workers, and vacations.
- Conducts quarterly development conversations with personnel, coordinates new hires and terminations with HR, and maintains training documentation.
- Plans and prepares production schedules, establishes sequences and lead times, and expedites operations to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and resource requirements.
- Creates work packets for production orders, prepares weekly production planners, and generates production orders and pick tickets.
- Enforces company safety policies to maintain a safe and clean workplace.
