Job Title: Hand Therapist - Sign-on Bonus
Job Type: Full-time (Mon-Fri; 40 hours per week. Will further discuss schedule during interview.)
Job Location: 158 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY (Williamsburg; outpatient clinic)
Salary Range: $83,000.00 - $104,000.00 (commensurate with experience)
Responsibilities
Occupational Hand Therapist responsibilities include ...
- Assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses.
- Devising creative treatment plans for individuals suffering from injuries or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases.
- Provide excellent 1:1 care for your patients, spending an average of 40 minutes with each person.
- Helping patients restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
- Encouraging patients along the road to recovery.
- Medical specialties at the clinic include ortho, neuro, sports medicine, peds, and hand therapy.
- Treating adult and adolescent populations.
Qualifications
- NYS Occupational Therapist License
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
- Basic computer skills
- CPR and first aid certification required
- CHT certification a plus
- MUST have level 2 fieldwork experience in hand therapy, some continuing education courses, and 1-2 years of experience in outpatient hand therapy as a licensed OT or CHT eligible (accumulated 4000 hours of hand therapy experience and 3 year of experience) waiting to sit for boards
- No new grads
- MUST have an understanding of a wide range of hand and upper extremity diagnoses
