Job Description: This sub family provides leadership for those involved in the development, design, and optimization of one of more IT and systems functions supporting company and/or customer business processes and technical information system platforms. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware/software and database management. Provides direction for the effort required to protect the company's data, tools, and information systems. Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility. Impact: Provides measurable input to new products, processes, or standards in operational plans to implement organizational strategies. Typically, does not have budget accountability, but may manage certain processes or projects within a defined budget set by management. Complexity: Problems and issues faced are unclear, and may require understanding of broader set of issues, and may be difficult. Problems typically involve multiple families, projects, or customers. Communication: Communicates with parties within and outside of own project/family, which may include internal and external constituents depending upon the area. Requires ability to influence others outside of own project/family area on policies, practices, and procedures. Leadership & Talent Management: Manages a small to mid-sized team consisting of experienced professionals. Leads, directs, and reviews the work of team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. Provides primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions for direct reports. Knowledge: Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within one area. Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization. Typical Education & Experience: Typically requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5 years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 3 years of prior relevant experience. Generally, has 2 years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
