The consulting firm we are partnered with is seeking an experienced Java Developer to assume a leadership role, overseeing a dynamic team of six developers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise in Java development and proven leadership experience. This is a full-time position based in Midtown. Given the nature of the role, a local candidate is preferred, as the position requires onsite presence three days per week. Required Skills and Experience
- A bachelor's IT, computer science, or equal experience.
- 5-10 years or more of experience in application development.
- Knowledge of multiple languages including but not limited to Java, Node, and Go
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading a team of 4 or more.
- Experience dealing with key stakeholders
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Previous experience working in the consulting industry.
