A large security consulting firm based out of Carrollton, Texas is looking for a Network Consultant to help on one of their current projects. The ideal candidate has a very high level of Cisco networking expertise to help one of their client's networks reach peak performance and efficiency.
They need someone who can come in and help them identify issues with their client's network and help architect various solutions to boost performance, reliability, and availability. Ideally, they're looking for a CCNA or CCIE level network engineer/architect who can be their SME on Cisco networks. Having a high level knowledge of Cisco route & switch, network security, and network convergence is critical for this position.
Contract Duration: 2 - 4 Months

Required Skills & Experience
- 7 years of experience working with Cisco networks - including route/switch, convergence, and security.
- Strong knowledge of network security and best practices.
- Experience working with critical infrastructure projects and operational technology systems.
- Ability to act as a Network SME on a project team.
- Experience with layer 2 and 3 networking.
- Cisco certifications like CCIE and CCNP are a huge plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's in a related field is nice to have.

- Working with the project team to conduct thorough assessments of the current network.
- Designing solutions to improve security, reliability, and availability.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and expectations.
- Recommend improvements to current solutions and ensure feasibility of implementation.
- Work with the team to deploy solutions on the client's network. ??
