Our client is in the Greater Boston area, is a leading manufacturer of scientific instruments for a wide variety of industries including biotech and pharmaceuticals. They are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help with the design and development embedded systems for their scientific instruments.
Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and implementation of embedded firmware solutions and features
- Develop high-performance and secure embedded systems that support real-time data processing, device communication, and system integration.
- Work closely with multi-disciplined R&D team to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Maintain knowledge of standards related to device software
- Participate in technical inquiries to support vendor and product qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of embedded firmware development using C/C focusing on real-time operating systems, such as Embedded Linux
- Knowledge with real-time operating systems, preferably Nucleus or QNX
- Experience working within quality management systems to support device regulations
