We are working with a client that is beginning a nation-wide initiative to migrate from VMware to Wind River. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential for conversion to full hire.
As a Wind River Specialist, in this position you will be responsible for assisting with this nationwide migration initiative. The ideal candidate will be well versed in Cloud technologies, have experience with Wind River as well as experience working in AWS/Kubernetes based Cloud environments. This is your chance to be a part of a highly visible, innovative push to automate the 5G landscape to enable autonomous driving vehicles, Robotics, advance medical solutions and more.
Contract Duration: 6 months with the opportunity to extend or convert to full hire employment. This position is 5 days/week onsite to start in Plano, TX. There will be the opportunity to flex to 4 day/week after ramp up with manager approval.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5-12 years of overall technical experience
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security
- Experience deploying cloud platforms using Wind River for Open RAN (DU/CU) and Edge Network Functions.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and Wind River cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized network functions (CNFs) for edge cloud infrastructure
- Experience working in AWS Cloud environments
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentations skills.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with Wind River Cloud Platform, particularly in deploying and managing Distributed Units (DUs) for telecommunications networks
- Proven experience in migrating from VMware to Wind River platforms, including execution, and troubleshooting of migration processes.
- Knowledge on 5G wireless/cellular systems
- Experience with Installing/Configuring the Wind River platform with Samsung DU deployment is a distinct advantage.
- Understanding of ORAN/vRAN architecture, protocols, and interfaces (e.g., O-RAN Alliance specifications).
- Experience in VMware
- Experience with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, for playbook.
- Knowledge of Wind River Analytics
- Proficiency in using automation and orchestration tools such as, Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform
