Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in administering Windows Server (e.g., Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services).
- Experience writing and executing PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and system configurations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows security best practices, patch management, user permissions, and troubleshooting system/network issues.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or VMware for managing virtual machines and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience managing Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune for enterprise environments.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and basic networking concepts to support system connectivity and security.
Tech Breakdown:
- Expertise in Windows Server versions (2016, 2019, 2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services.
- Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and Windows security best practices, including patch management.
- Experience with Hyper-V, VMware, and cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience with any Cloud Service Provider (AWS and Azure Preferred)
- Administration of Microsoft 365, SCCM, Intune, and Windows OS deployment.
- Ensure Windows servers, workstations, and network services are running smoothly with regular health checks and updates.
- Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and Group Policy settings for security and efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve system, network, and application issues reported by users or monitoring tools.
- Implement security patches, monitor for threats, and ensure data backups and recovery procedures are in place.
