Our client, a manufacturer in the defense and aerospace industry, is actively hiring a Contracts Manager to join their team in Cedar Rapids, IA.
*This is a 6 month W2 contract with benefits offered!*
As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple contract negotiations for the organization and guiding other professionals on the team to protect business interests. They are looking for someone who will recommend and implement improvements to processes that improve the department's effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, generate, interpret, and manage sensitive complex documents and proposals
- Prepare reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, administration, and customer contact activities to ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment are aligned with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
- Advise and represent the organization on legal issues concerning contractual matters
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-10 years of experience in contract management
- Prior experience working in aerospace, defense, or government contracts is a plus
