About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Analyst - Intermediate to join our team. This role will be responsible for project cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost tracking, risk assessment, and contract management, ensuring projects stay on budget while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize cost management principles to improve project estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and cost tracking issues.
- Conduct cost risk management by integrating estimate uncertainty with project risk.
- Perform contract commercial management, facilitating contract payments, reviewing payment requirements, and conducting contract performance analysis.
- Manage and analyze project cost data, including earned value criteria (EV), cost baselines, and variance assessments.
- Process labor timesheets, invoices, and project submittals, ensuring compliance with budget and financial reporting standards.
- Assist project teams with budget development, cost tracking, and forecasting to optimize project financial performance.
- Perform cost reporting and variance analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
- Integrate cost management with project controls, including scope, scheduling, and risk management.
- Ensure cost analysis and reporting are aligned with industry standards such as AACE, PMI, and best practices in cost engineering.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in cost analysis, project controls, or financial management.
- Proficiency in cost tracking, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, cost estimation, and contract review.
- Experience working with ERP systems, project management software, and data analytics tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate financial data effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
