The role of a Technical Program Manager is crucial in ensuring the successful launch and operation of datacenters. As a key member of our client's team, you will be responsible for leading datacenter decommissioning efforts, launching new datacenters, and overseeing P2 retirement projects. This involves working closely with engineering, IT, and operations teams to align on project goals and timelines.
Your primary focus will be on managing the launch of new data centers by coordinating logistics, equipment deployment, and configuration. You will also be responsible for implementing comprehensive reporting on project progress, identifying risks, and defining mitigation strategies to ensure milestones are met on time. Effective communication of status updates to stakeholders is critical in providing transparency on project health and addressing any issues promptly.
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in technical program management or a similar role within datacenter operations. A strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including on-prem and cloud environments, is essential.
