Long-Term Contract

Hybrid in Jacksonville, FL (onsite 1-2x/week and any additional time needed for project meetings)

My client is a community owned electric, water and sewer utility in Jacksonville, Florida dedicated to safety, reliability and customer satisfaction. They are looking for an Enterprise IT Architect with a heavy focus on Security.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy and engineering direction for company's security strategy.
• Participate in the technical solution design efforts to ensure that security requirements are addressed.
• Work with the operations teams of existing technical security services and the project teams of technical security services under development to capture dependencies and re-use opportunities.
• Work with team to help the work streams implement appropriate technical security controls.
• Develop new innovative concepts of operation, future state architectures, evaluating relevant technology, projecting needs for new technology, and defining of measures of effectiveness and performance.
• Execute a process to evaluate the architecture and design of existing and proposed information technology systems against the enterprise technical security control requirements model.
• Lead for the architecture and design of technical security controls and guidance for appropriate application of existing security services to solve problems or enable new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Laws, regulations rules and standards for security, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), Sarbanes Oxley, Environmental Protection Act, North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), ISO 27002 (17799)- best practices for Information Security, The California Security Breach Information Act 1386/1950, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and credit card issuers’ rules for card acceptance and payment processing.
• Working knowledge of a variety of hardware (including servers, routers, firewalls, and networks) and software technologies and security capabilities and features.
• Combine knowledge of service-oriented architecture concepts with security engineering, including security testing and evaluation, requirements, logical and physical architecture design.
• Experience in hands-on technical security control architecture and design in the web services solution space, information security solution engineering, security technology implementation, and security service delivery role, including in-depth hands-on experience in complex web enterprise architecture lock downs.
• Experience with inner workings and security aspects of a variety of application servers, web servers, media/content servers, messaging servers, integration servers, etc.
