About the Job
Join our team as a Field Service Technician and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing pre-delivery inspections, conducting repairs and installations, and maintaining accurate records of work completed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily business operations, including shuttling vehicles and conducting pre-delivery inspections
- Document results of pre-delivery inspections and communicate with team members and supervisors
- Follow repair procedures with efficiency and quality
- Perform or assist with diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles
- Support vehicle repairs in various settings
- Conduct road tests to ensure quality of repairs
- Manage parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory
- Stay up-to-date with technical skills and required training
- Support campaigns and containment initiatives
- Maintain accurate expense reporting
- Establish peer relationships and work under mentorship
- Maintain high-quality work and efficiency while working with little supervision
- Work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Provide service support to the field
Qualifications:
- MVR required
- Level 1 Technician: Less than 2 years of experience in a directly related trade (e.g., tire shop, motorcycle repair)
- Level 2 Technician: 2-4 years of experience in an automotive specific environment with exposure to various repairs
- Level 3 Technician: 5 years of automotive experience, EV experience preferred
- HS Diploma or GED preferred
- Graduated from an accredited automotive repair school preferred
- One year experience working in an automotive repair shop preferred
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to drive non-commercial truck and trailer preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record
- Experience using a work order management system
- Exhibits patience and eagerness to learn
- Strong organizational and time management skills along with attention to detail
- Physical exertion may be required
- Minimum age of 21
- No driving-related suspensions or revocation of Driver License (within a 3-5 year period)
- Ability to read and speak fluent English
