Lead Fullstack Golang Engineer

Our client in the government contracting space is looking for a Lead Full Stack Golang Engineer in Tampa Bay, Florida. This is a hybrid, direct-hire opportunity.

This is the opportunity to join as one of the first hires in their Tamba Bay site for a brand-new project, with more greenfield opportunities within the company to come down the line. You will take point of the small Full Stack Development team that will be built around you, with an opportunity to contribute heavily hands-on while getting more Junior developers up to speed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Candidates must be US Citizens and be willing to obtain a TS/SCI clearance (client will sponsor this process if it is not already in place).
• 1 years of experience leading teams in new, full stack application development
• 8 years of experience engineering full stack applications
• 2 years of experience with Golang
• 3 years of experience using front-end JavaScript frameworks (React preferred)
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Experience with REST APIs and Microservices
  
  

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with testing frameworks such as JEST
• Experience working with customers in delivering projects
• Hands on experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud technologies (GCP preferred, open to Azure, AWS)

Tech Breakdown

• 50% front-end (React)
• 50% backend (Golang)
  
  

Daily Responsibilities

• 80-90% hands on
• 10-20% leading more junior peers
• Point of contact for leaders within company
