An American electric vehicle manufacturing company is actively looking for a self-motivated Lead Test Engineer to join their team. This is a 6-month CT role with potential for extension or conversion. It is 100% onsite/offsite at partners/suppliers and Rivian locations in Plymouth, MI from 9-6pm Monday-Friday.

As a Lead Test Engineer, you will be critical in assessing the effectiveness of the testing process, identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality and efficiency of the testing activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with performing analysis with nCode to perform loads
- calculations for body, chassis, propulsion, and suspension systems and components
- 2 years’ experience of MTS 329 rig testing with drive file development
- 2 years’ experience of RLDA with data post processing
- 2 years’ experience with component level testing
- Experience with performing analysis with nCode to perform loads
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, materials
- engineering, or a related field
- Regular local travel up to testing suppliers and proving grounds
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with Parametric CAD, Catia V6 preferred
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or other programming languages is a plus.
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities:
- Conduct durability testing and data collection.
- Set up and operate component testing and vehicle rig testing.
- Data analysis tasks to identify trends and anomalies.
- Prepare test reports and presentations.
- Manage multiple testing and data collection projects for an entire vehicle program
