Our client, a global broadcast media and entertainment company, is actively looking for a Manager, Insights & Measurement to join their Ad Sales & Partnerships team in NYC! This role is onsite Tuesday-Thursday so local candidates are required.
***This is a 6 month contract position***
This is an opportunity for qualified candidates to lead the development of sales-driven research and analytical solutions for the company's unmatched collection of premier sports properties. This Manager, Insights & Measurement will be responsible for mining 1st and 3rd party data sets, reporting viewership performance, and evaluating advertiser campaigns. This person will also collaborate with primary research and other partner teams inside the Insights & Measurement organization to develop proprietary insights that will further aid in generating advertising revenue for company properties and position them as an industry thought leader.
This role is for people who have experience using research and analytics to develop actionable insights and effective storytelling on behalf of advertisers, and who thrive in highly collaborative and fast-paced environments!
Responsibilities
- Support the Insights & Measurement team in the creation of detailed analyses, reports, presentations, and marketing/sales materials covering the company's sports properties that are broadcast
- Utilize both syndicated and custom research tools to effectively position sports and platforms across linear, digital, and social to the advertising community
- Develop property, consumer, and client/category insights to support B2B marketing opportunities
- Research advertisers’ return on investing in media and sponsorship, communicating insights to internal and external constituents, using campaign results
- Analyze competitive viewership, spending & marketing patterns
- Respond to day-to-day requests for data from across the Ad Sales & Partnerships organization, and proactively disseminate insights that help support the Sports & Olympics sales narrative
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of insights or research experience at a sports or media company, agency or vendor
- Expertise in both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Adept in cross-platform audience measurement systems (e.g., Nielsen, Adobe Analytics, Lake 5, comScore, etc.)
- Proficient in consumer data platforms (e.g. YouGov, Simmons, MRI, etc.)
- Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and media-math proficiency
- Expert storytelling, with the ability to distill complex data sets from a variety of sources into simple, concise insights and compelling data-driven narratives
