Our client that is the largest midstream company in North America is actively looking for a Senior Mechanical Drafter to add to their team in Houston, TX.

Position Description:
The Mechanical Drafter position is to assist the Lead Plant Designer with as-built projects and other duties as assigned.
- This position will be responsible for maintaining Mechanical (Piping, Civil & Structural) drawings in AutoCAD drawing environment, for Measurement stations, Compressor stations and Pipeline appurtenances for natural gas facilities. Some assigned projects will vary in size and complexity and at times work independently or with the request from the Lead Plant Designer.
Duties and Responsibilities to include the following:
- Completes multiple Mechanical redline requests related to meter and compressor stations.
- Manages drawings within our document management system.
- Completes As-built projects related to meter and compressor stations.
- Ability to manage multiple 3D model sets.
- Provides weekly updates to Lead Designer on progress
- Exercises and applies commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures required by the natural gas pipeline industry.
- Conducts own quality QA/QC reviews of all drawings before submitting to the Lead Designer or QC for approval.
- Utilizes raster editing software.
- Able to work with Company document management system (Meridian) or equivalent DM systems.
- Works with x-ref supported drawing files.
- Works as a team player with the Drafting team to complete the projects.
- Learns and incorporates terminology and acronyms of the natural gas industry into drawings and related work outputs.
Position Requirements and Skills:
- A Minimum of 3 years in 3D Piping and experience in Plant, Process Piping P&IDs is required.
- Experience with CADWorx Plant Professional modeling software a must.
- Experience managing and building 3D model sets a must.
- Knowledge of P&ID symbols and terminology.
- Knowledge and experience using Windows operating systems.
- Must have good communication skills, written & verbal, work with minimal supervision, and simultaneously manage multiple projects to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Previous experience in the natural gas transmission industry is preferred.
- Must be punctual and dependable with ability to listen and learn.

- Position may require lifting of up to 25lbs
- Able to work remotely utilizing Personal Computers.
Salary : $35 - $42
