A Fortune 100 Pharmaceutical Company in the Waukegan, IL area is looking to expand their global team. They are actively searching for a Network Engineer who is motivated and excited to gain broad exposure to diverse technologies.
This role is a 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to FT and is a hybrid opportunity with expectations to be onsite Tuesday- Thursday. - 5 years of experience in network engineering roles.
- Experience managing network life cycle processes (deployment, maintenance, upgrades).
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls (ASA, Firepower).
- Enterprise networking experience (no small-scale environments).
- Incident management & ticketing experience (ServiceNow preferred)
- Experience with Network automation
- AWS or Azure Networking
- Design, implement, and maintain Cisco-based network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Manage the network life cycle
- Configure and maintain SD-WAN solutions for optimized network performance.
- Automate network tasks using scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar).
