What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Operations Manager position at Motion Recruitment?
A company that manufactures charging devices located in Avondale, AZ is currently looking for a Network Operations Manager to add to their growing team. This manager will be focused on hiring, building and managing a team of techs that are focused on the connectivity between their WAN and the EV charging devices. This is not a standard network operations team that monitors the network. The techs this person oversees will be focused on the full cradle to grave cycle as far as pulling equipment out of the box, configuring it, and getting it ready to go for field techs to install. They may also walk field techs through the actual installation / troubleshooting. The manager will also help virtually design their end sites based of predetermined architectural parameters that have been built.
This position will require someone to work onsite in Avondale 3-4 days a week.Required Skills & Experience
- 8 years of networking engineering experience
- Technical leadership experience
- Background in network administration and design (LAN / WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, IoT)
- Deep knowledge of network security (Encryption, Firewalls, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud networking
- Experience managing teams or projects using ITIL or Agile frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Vendor management experience
