Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education with 3 years of relevant experience Skilled in tactical planning and/or engineering.
- Basic engineering background covering SONET, Ethernet & DWDM technologies.
- Basic data/economic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with an intense focus on quality.
- Able to overcome various design complexities and challenges.
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, communication, and time management skills.
- Familiar with PRO, ASRI, TIRKS, and other technical applications of moderate complexity.
- Skilled across multiple platforms with the ability to integrate new technology into existing networks.
- Understand the interdependencies of platforms/other departments and how they impact each other.
- Knowledge and skills to deliver major projects within the deadline.

- Ability to produce clear, concise communications that define the problem, outline requirements, and present actionable recommendations.
- Prepare network to augment plans and specifications, including gathering field data.
- Submit capacity and harvesting augments as necessary.
- Comfortably creates complex network designs from limited raw sets of data.
- Requires limited direction and guidance for completion of tasks.
- Assures that the most feasible, practical, and economical means to complete the work are utilized.
- Supports acquisition and implementation of hardware as well as subcontractor services as needed.
- Encourages open communication and fosters a positive work environment.
