Network Solutions Architect

Hybrid in Gaithersburg, MD (3-days a week onsite)

1-year Contract

We are seeking a skilled Solutions Architect with a strong technical background in Cisco, Ruckus, and Palo Alto technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise networking and security solutions. This role requires expertise in network architecture, cybersecurity frameworks, and wireless infrastructure, ensuring robust and scalable IT solutions for clients.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and architect secure, high-performance network solutions using Cisco, Ruckus, and Palo Alto technologies.
• Provide technical leadership in network and security solution development, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewall, and wireless infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Configure, implement, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls, including ACI, Nexus, and Catalyst platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

• Expertise in Cisco networking, including CCNP or CCIE certification (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Ruckus Wireless and SmartZone, with Ruckus certification (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, security policies, and threat prevention, with PCNSA or PCNSE certification (preferred).
• Experience with network automation, scripting (Python, Ansible), and SD-WAN solutions is a plus.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
