About the Company - Our global client is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator and Operating Systems Administrator to join their dynamic team. This is a 12 months contract role and will be on-site. Candidates local to Boston and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply. About the Role - As an Oracle DBA & OS Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining large-scale, highly available distributed Oracle systems. You will collaborate with global teams, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive innovation in database architecture, performance tuning, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the stability, performance, and security of Oracle database instances.
- Collaborate with global teams on development, maintenance, and optimization projects.
- Research and implement new technologies to improve database performance and scalability.
- Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies.
- Troubleshoot critical issues under pressure and implement long-term solutions.
- Manage supporting infrastructure, including operating systems, hardware, and networks.
- Assist with database migrations, particularly involving MySQL and MS SQL.
Qualifications - Strong experience with large-scale, high-availability Oracle databases.
