What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Designer position at Motion Recruitment?
Our Client, a multinational toy manufacturing company is looking for someone to join their team as a Product Designer!
**This is a remote one year contract that takes place in El Segundo, CA**
Required Skills &Experience
- BA/BS in a design related field such as Industrial Design, Art, or Toy Design, preferred Minimum of 5 years design experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- 3D prototyping skills such as Solid works, 3D studio works, or Maya
- Previous experience designing playsets
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques for various materials including wood, metal, and plastic
What You Will Be Doing
- Designer has the ability to work through design assignments with limited instruction and can approach the work from multiple perspectives to improve the quality of the product.
- The design process includes conceptualization, trend research, consumer research, design presentations, design renders 2D or 3D and design specifications.
- The Designer stays abreast of competitive product and industry innovations.
- He/She recommends product refinements and/or quality improvements.
- This individual will uphold company design and quality/safety standards through clear and concise communication of design specifications to Product Development.
- Also, works collaboratively with the Product Development team to ensure costs, margin goals and overall business goals.
Salary : $50 - $52
