Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test RF circuits, antennas, and communication systems for environmental monitoring and sustainability applications.
- Conduct RF system simulations, electromagnetic (EM) modeling, and signal integrity analysis to optimize performance.
- Develop and integrate low-power RF solutions for IoT-based environmental sensors and wireless energy transfer systems.
- Work with PCB layout and RF component selection, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize RF performance, power efficiency, and reliability in rugged environmental conditions.
- Perform RF testing, troubleshooting, and debugging using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and other lab equipment.
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and sustainability engineering teams to develop scalable, energy-efficient solutions.
- Support regulatory testing and compliance for RF emissions and environmental standards (FCC, CE, etc.).
- Research and implement next-generation RF and wireless technologies to improve environmental sensing and energy-efficient communications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in RF circuit design, wireless communications, or related fields.
- Expertise in RF design, impedance matching, antenna design, and RF simulation tools (HFSS, CST, ADS, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
- Knowledge of wireless protocols (LoRa, Zigbee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE, etc.) and low-power RF communication.
- Experience with PCB layout for RF circuits, including high-frequency signal routing and EMI mitigation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in RF system design and troubleshooting.
- Experience with IoT, energy harvesting, or environmental sensor networks.
- Familiarity with sustainable electronics, low-power RF applications, and solar-powered communication systems.
- Understanding of RF compliance testing and certification processes.
- Knowledge of AI-driven RF optimization and machine learning applications in RF systems.
