Our client, a well known broadcast media and entertainment company is urgently hiring a Strategy Manager of Category and Insights to join their team on a HYBRID schedule in New York, NY!
** This is a 6 month contract to hire on W2 offering a full benefits package **
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7 years in relevant experience (agency strategy/planning, performance/digital marketing, brand/management consulting, client-side marketing/media/digital)
- Must be a strategic thinker with the ability to turn insights into action
- Has experience researching and analyzing data and information, extracting key truths and insights
- Understanding of advertising/comms/media & marketing principles, concepts, data sources, and tools is a plus
Job Responsibilities
- This individual is a leader of the day-to-day management and execution of the category strategies, a creator of and contributor to thought leadership, and a key collaborator with teams across the Ad Sales organization
- Be a critical member of the “go-to,” expert team for key industry/category intelligence across key categories such as Auto, Pharma, Healthcare, and Luxury across the Ad Sales division
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of relevant industries (consumer trends, competitive landscape, strategic challenges, disruptors, etc.) and effectively synthesize for internal teams
- Research, analyze and report on relevant categories, changing consumer behaviors & media industry trends
- Be a key contributor and help lead projects using consumer and marketplace data and insights to build sales strategies that drive new revenue opportunities for the portfolio
- Identify and define areas for growth including potential revenue/market share gains and partner with sales to capitalize on those opportunities
- Maintain ongoing understanding and knowledge of evolving macroeconomic changes, consumer behaviors, and media industry trends
- Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams (including strategy team and larger Ad Sales team) to complete projects
- Perform administrative tasks that keep the team organized and efficient; and ensure deadlines are met and project tracking is kept
- Support the team on client, category, and company projects
Salary : $46 - $53
