An exciting opportunity awaits a dynamic and analytical Test Engineer to join a highly collaborative and innovative engineering team. You’ll play a key role in testing, integration, verification, and validation (IVVQ) across complex and diverse projects. This position offers a unique hybrid schedule with a balance of hands-on site work and remote flexibility.
Job Title: Mid Test Engineer
Location: Overland Park, Kansas (3 weeks on-site / 3 weeks remote; rotating schedule)
Contract: 3-Month Contract (Potential to Extend)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans and procedures directly from system requirements.
- Perform module, program, and unit testing of software and hardware components.
- Define integration tree structures aligned with system release plans.
- Deploy, maintain, and enhance software supporting test activities, including test management and result analysis.
- Operate and utilize high-powered RF equipment and electronic test instruments including: RF Analyzers (e.g., FIELDFOX), Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Multimeters
- Conduct troubleshooting and validation using hardware and software tools.
- Identify test equipment needs, including calibration requirements.
- Plan, estimate, monitor, and control all IVVQ activities.
- Lead end-customer demonstrations and ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Space, Electrical, Computer Science, or related fields).
- 3–5 years of experience in Test, Integration, Verification, and Validation (IVVQ).
- Strong hardware and software testing background — financial or purely software test profiles will not be considered unless directly linked to electrical engineering.
- Experience with RF testing and electronic measurement tools.
- Analytical, structured, and solutions-focused approach.
- Proven ability to develop test plans and procedures from written requirements.
- Stable employment history; candidates with multiple short-term positions will not be considered.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR).
- Linux experience.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Familiarity with Engineering Project Management principles.
