What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Music Instructor position at Motion Studio - Music Department?
We are seeking passionate and dedicated private lesson music teachers to join our staff, as an independent contractor. We ask that you have long-term experience with your instrument and a working knowledge of any method books or materials you plan to utilize.
Hours are based on the individual teacher's availability. Most teachers choose 1-3 days, working after school hours, from about 3:30-8:00PM. Daytime and weekend hours are available, as well as shorter or longer shifts. However, this is on an individual basis, and we will work to find hours that work for you.
Pay is anywhere from $17-$31 per hour depending on your prior experience coming into the job. We also offer six month internships for younger teachers just starting in the business of teaching.
We are interested in getting applicants for any instrument, specifically in need of a violin teacher or any orchestral instrument. If you can offer instruction in more than one instrument, that will make you even more of an asset.
Our private music lessons run 30 minutes once a week. We do the accounting, enrollment, take payments, advertise for you, and offer recital and performance opportunities for students to participate in. Once we have set your preferred hours to work, we will go about filling those class spots via our waitlist or advertise to bring in students wanting what you offer.
