Job Duties
- Documents, illustrates, and digitally models engineering designs.
- Assesses engineering requirements and translates into technical blueprints, drawings, layouts, and simulation models using CAD/CAM/CAE software.
- Prepares detailed drawings of products from sketches, using software tools.
- Applies standard CAD/CAM/CAE techniques to digitize, edit, and revise engineering drawings of components, parts, and assemblies.
- Customizing CAD/CAM/CAE software to model complex or unusual designs.
- Ensures that drawings incorporate all design features and maintain the product style.
- Creates digital proto-types and conducts design simulations to verify reliability, safety, and optimizing engineering processes.
- Recommends changes to component designs based on outcomes of digital proto-typing and design simulations.
- May provide materials lists and cost estimates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to read prints is essential.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively investigate and resolve technical design problems
- Strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to multi-task on multiple projects.
