What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer, AV Test Engineering position at motional?
Duties:Design and perform field testing on driving algorithms, identifying potential areas for improvement. Develop test plans and test cases for various components, including but not limited to the development of test scenarios and closed course test cases for Autonomy features. Work with teams to understand test scenarios requirements. Analyze information and write comprehensive test reports for each test completed. Note procedure followed to ensure test fidelity. Report issues to engineers, vehicle technicians, and management. Collaborate with the larger team of Autonomy engineers, gaining exposure to multiple engineering disciplines and working across multiple projects simultaneously. Improve procedures for integration, system test and closed course tests. Collaborate with development teams on test design of autonomy features. May telecommute to Boston, MA from any U.S. location. Requirements: bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a closely related technical/engineering field, and employment or education in the following: Test engineering, recursive testing, and embedded system testing. Linux and programming languages such as Python and C . Software troubleshooting, debugging, and systems thinking. Technical writing and documenting embedded systems.
