This position is a Weekend Shift : 6am - 6pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with limited overtime during the week.
Motis Manufacturing Center has been manufacturing lightweight aluminum ramp systems for over 30 years. Using innovative designs and lightweight aluminum alloys, Motis Manufacturing Center has created a unique product assortment that enables our customers to solve loading, hauling or transportation challenges safely and at a reasonable cost. Our lightweight aluminum products are far superior to steel alternatives as they never rust, are light and easy to handle but are built-strong to never fail.
The Weekend production supervisor will oversee our Weekend production operations, managing the teams to ensure production goals and quality standards are met, resolving issues on the production floor, all while maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Planning and executing production schedule for our cutting, welding and cleaning Departments.
- Monitor and record work center production and quality metrics and report-out on daily Gemba walks.
- Participate in plant Lean Kaizen and CI events and drive the appropriate change.
- Ensure health and safety is practiced by everyone. Housekeeping is set at a high standard. Ensure 5S procedures are being followed and sustained.
- Ensuring work centers have the necessary equipment and materials to complete their work.
- Conducting visual inspections of components to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborating with all other departments and shifts to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of production activities and inspection results.
- Supervision of employees and hold employee’s accountable for performance and attendance.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, quality standards, and safety and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- General knowledge in welding techniques, materials, and technologies and/or willingness to learn.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate.
- Self-starting team player with a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated knowledge of LEAN principles
- Strong computer skills, experience in MS office suite.
- Strong math skills.
- 5 Years in a supervisory role in a Lean Production Environment.
