We are seeking an energetic and experienced Musical Theatre Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation of triple threats in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Job Summary:
The Musical Theatre Teacher will be responsible for teaching classes that combine acting, singing, and dance. You’ll help students develop confidence, stage presence, and strong performance skills. Classes may be tailored for different age groups and skill levels, from beginners to pre-professional dancers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging musical theatre classes weekly
- Teach fundamentals of acting, vocal performance, and dance styles used in musical theatre
- Choreograph musical theatre numbers for studio showcases, recitals, or competitions
- Encourage creativity and self-expression while maintaining classroom structure
- Provide constructive feedback and support individual student growth
- Collaborate with other teachers and studio staff for events and performances
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment
Qualifications:
- Experience in musical theatre performance and/or teaching
- Strong background in dance (jazz, ballet, or tap preferred)
- Vocal training and basic piano skills a plus
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for working with youth and creating a fun, engaging atmosphere
- Must pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Theatre, Dance, or Performing Arts (or equivalent professional experience)
- Experience choreographing for stage or student showcases
Schedule & Compensation:
- Classes typically held on weekday afternoons/evenings or Saturdays
- Compensation based on experience and qualifications
- Opportunity for additional choreography or production roles
