We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Senior Motion Designer & VFX Supervisor to lead our motion design and visual effects projects. This dual-role position is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong artistic vision, advanced technical expertise, and proven leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will oversee the creative and technical aspects of motion graphics and VFX production, ensuring the highest quality standards are met from concept to delivery.
Reporting directly to the SVP Content & Production, you will work alongside other content specialists within Motive Made Studios (Motive’s content studio), and in tight collaboration with Motive’s multifaceted alliance of designers, editors, and 3D modelers, as well as cross-functional team members from account, creative and experiential. Essentially, you’ll romp in diverse playgrounds as a creative concepting guru, art director, animator, technologist and VFX specialist.
From social and digital advertising campaigns, branded content, original content and TVCs, to animations for stage designs at live events and concerts. You will be challenged to bring brands to life in a way that is compelling and interesting, using cutting edge techniques with culturally relevant perspectives.

Key Responsibilities :
Creative Direction & Design :
- Develop and execute creative concepts for motion graphics and VFX projects.
- Conceptualize and execute high-quality motion designs, animations, and visual effects for projects.
- Collaborate with creatives, producers, and clients to translate ideas into visually compelling content.
- Oversee storyboarding, style frames, and animatics to visualize and present concepts.
Production :
Ability to create high fidelity 2D or 3D assets to be used in production.Animate 2D and 3D motion graphics, ensuring seamless storytelling and exceptional visual impact.Knowledgeable in motion design workflows both in 2D and 3D. As well as particles and dynamics.Edit video content and integrate motion graphics to enhance narratives.Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines, as well as execute projects from start to finish.VFX Supervision :
Lead the VFX team during pre-production, production, and post-production stages.Provide on-set supervision for shoots involving VFX to ensure accurate data capture and seamless integration in post-production. Occasional travel needed.Solve complex visual and technical challenges to deliver innovative effects.Technical Expertise & Tools :
Utilize advanced software such as After Effects, Cinema 4D, Octane Render, Unreal Engine, Rive app, Advanced AI tools (ComfyUI, Midjourney, RunwayAI) or similar tools for motion design and VFX production. Houdini, Particle simulation, Unreal engine character modeling and rigging knowledge is a plus.Experience in AR / VR or real-time rendering workflows.Knowledge of UX / UI principles related to motion.Knowledge of scripting and automation for motion graphics and VFX especially in an experiential on site application (e.g., Python, Rive app).Experience in use of AI tools such as Runway, ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, Firefly, Midjourney.Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and emerging technologies to push creative boundaries.Team Leadership :
Mentor and help build a team of motion designers, animators, and VFX artists.Manage project timelines, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines and client expectations.Foster a collaborative and inspiring team environment.Guide and mentor junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of creativity.Lead creative brainstorming sessions and pitch innovative ideas to stakeholders.Quality Control :
Ensure all motion graphics and VFX meet high-quality standards and are consistent with the project’s creative vision.Conduct reviews and provide constructive feedback to the team.Ensure projects fall within scope and provide in-depth insight to production timelines and how they impact a project.Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 7-10 years in motion design and VFX, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.Portfolio : A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in motion graphics, animation, and VFX, including both creative and technical work.Technical Skills : Proficiency in motion design and VFX software; experience with 2D and 3D mograph workflows working across teams. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Proficient and familiar with Cinema 4D, Octane Render, Unreal Engine, and Rive workflows.Leadership : Proven ability to manage, mentor, and inspire a creative team. With chops to pivot, and adapt to shifting product timelines and provide production focused solutions.Problem-Solving : Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to work under aggressive timelines.Communication : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.Strong visual storytelling and conceptual thinking skills.
