FKG Oil Company Seeks a Maintenance Technician (Equipment) to support our 80 MotoMart convenience stores across the Midwest at our headquarters in Belleville, IL.

The Maintenance Technician (Equipment) will perform skilled maintenance, repair, rehab, minor construction, and preventative building/equipment maintenance while providing guidance to Store Managers and Supervisors.

Functions

• Conduct installation and maintenance on miscellaneous beverage equipment
• Troubleshoot and evaluate equipment related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, sheet metal, and lighting
• Review plans and develop layouts related to minor construction projects
• Communicate with warehouses and distributors to obtain supplies and repair parts

Skills

• Possess intermediate knowledge of the following equipment and operations: Soda Fountain, CO2, Coffee, FDA Air Compressors, Water Filter, and related drink equipment
• Ability to read and understand program manuals, equipment and mechanical aspects
• Familiarity with tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, hammers, specialized equipment and electronic testing devices
• Basic computer knowledge

Requirements

• Must be at least 23 years of age and possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to walk, crawl, climb, lift up to 75 pounds and operate 40 feet above ground
• Perform job duties while following all safety procedures and precautions
• Possesses knowledge of general maintenance equipment including hand and power tools

Working Conditions

This is a full-time hourly position requiring occasional overtime with standard hours of 6:00 am to 2:00 pm CST. All technicians are required to be on call one week every 8 weeks.

Consists of daily travel in company vehicle to store locations with an occasional, overnight stay.

Individual compensation packages are determined by multiple factors including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job factors. Minimum pay starting at $28 per hour.
