What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor/Maintenance position at Motoring Technical Training Institute?
Job Summary
We're looking to hire a hard-working Janitor for a a full-time 40 hour per week position who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our buildings including the interior and exterior of the property and assist with varied maintenance items. You'll be responsible for all cleaning duties including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing restrooms, and shampooing carpets, in addition to maintenance tasks such as cutting the grass, snow removal, replacing light bulbs, emptying trash and assisting with projects as needed.. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and takes pride in a job well done.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the interior and exterior of the property
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans daily
- Clean windows, shampoo carpets, replace light bulbs, supply restrooms, and perform minor repairs on a regular basis
- Wipe up spills and other hazards
- Notify management of necessary repairs
- Assist the maintenance staff as needed with projects
- Landscaping duties and seasonal activities, including snow removal, cutting grass and raking leaves.
- Travel between the sites will be required, two locations are in Seekonk and one in East Providence.
Qualifications
MTTI is a post-secondary career training institute located in Seekonk, Massachusetts. At MTTI, we train students with the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the workforce in nine different areas of technology; ranging from Automotive to Medical. Compensation : $20.00 per hour
