The EcoSystem Lab Intern will be a key member of Motorola Solutions' innovative Public Safety Suite Ecosystem integration lab. This lab focuses on driving seamless integration across our entire suite of Public Safety products, including PremierOne, Flex, Command Central, Emergency Call Handling, Video, WAVE, ASTRO, and third-party applications. This is a hands-on internship where you will contribute directly to the successful deployment of new features and functionality.

Job Description
This is a primarily onsite role in our Schaumburg, IL office.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside senior engineers to design, develop, and test integration strategies for multiple applications within the Public Safety suite.
- Evaluate the deployability of individual features and sets of features, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with product and deployment teams to assess the release readiness of new features and functionality.
- Assist in troubleshooting IT-related issues and contribute to solutions.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in lab maintenance and process development opportunities
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar engineering or technical discipline.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP).
- Experience with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), routers, and switches.
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox).
- Experience in IT-related troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Ability to commute onsite to our Schaumburg, IL campus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Public Safety systems or technologies.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- High School Diploma is required
- Must be pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
