The Digital Recognition Network (DRN) operates within Motorola Solutions as a dynamic internal start-up, focusing on license plate recognition (LPR) technology and data insights. DRN includes the MVTRAC and Secure Collateral Management (SCM) brands, which collectively serve the financial services, automotive recovery, collections, and insurance markets. Our goal is to equip customers with the tools and data-driven insights necessary to make informed decisions and protect their financial interests.

We are looking for a highly organized and results-driven Senior Events and Communications Specialist to oversee event planning and communications for our DRN, MVTRAC, and SCM business units.
This role is crucial for managing industry events and developing customer engagement strategies through communications, email marketing, and social media initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a detail-oriented events manager, and a skilled communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can drive significant engagement with prospects and customers.

Job Description
We are looking for a highly organized and results-driven Senior Events and Communications Specialist to oversee event planning and communications for our DRN, MVTRAC, and SCM business units.
This role is crucial for managing industry events and developing customer engagement strategies through communications, email marketing, and social media initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a detail-oriented events manager, and a skilled communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can drive significant engagement with prospects and customers.
Event Management:
- Develop and maintain the annual event calendar, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry opportunities
- Oversee event management, including booth space booking, sponsorships, show services, registrations, run of shows, and promotional materials
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to plan and execute regional events, handling venue selection, catering, AV setup, and logistics
- Create and manage run of shows for industry events, ensuring seamless execution and alignment across teams
- Communicate event details and run of shows to internal stakeholders, including sales and leadership teams
- Manage the event and giveaways budget, ensuring accurate tracking, timely payments, and full utilization of allocated funds
- Conduct post-event analysis, evaluating ROI and effectiveness through performance metrics, reporting insights, and optimizing future strategies
- Oversee JIRA tickets for design and web development requests related to events, sponsorships, and marketing materials
- Develop and manage a strategic communications program to engage and nurture prospects and customers
- Execute customer engagement campaigns through email, social media, newsletters, and industry partnerships to enhance brand visibility and drive conversions
- Manage and distribute internal and external communications, including event/product announcements, nurture track programs, and customer outreach
- Set up and track Salesforce campaigns to measure event attendance, lead generation, and customer engagement impact
- Collaborate with the design team to develop marketing assets for advertising, email, social media, and sales enablement
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 years of experience in event planning and/or communications
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and follow-through on deliverables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messaging for customer engagement
- Strong budget management experience, ensuring cost efficiency and maximizing ROI
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Jira/Confluence, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and marketing automation platforms
- Ability to travel (10-25%) for industry events, conferences, and team meetings
- Bachelor's Degree
