Department Overview
The Cloud Platform Engineering team is responsible for the development and operations of critical cloud infrastructure and platform services, in support of Motorola Solutions' public and hybrid cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for public safety customers. This team is part of Motorola Solutions' Video and Software division, which offers secure, reliable and efficient team communications, workflow and operational intelligence solutions for mission critical public safety and enterprise markets throughout the world. Our services leverage Cloud Computing infrastructure on Azure, AWS, and GCP to build at scale.
Job Description
The Cloud Platform Engineering team is responsible for :
- Design and implementation of continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI / CD) pipelines into multiple public cloud regions
- Development and operation of common platform services that can be leveraged by our SaaS solutions
- High availability and security of these services and the environments where they run
- Monitoring and support for these platform and infrastructure services, as well as metrics collection and related reporting
As a software engineer on this team, you will be a key contributor to platform development activities. Our teams are developing services, tools, and processes to support other Motorola Solutions' engineering teams as well as deliver solutions to our customers. You will be working on a high-velocity, results-oriented team that leverages cutting-edge technologies and techniques. The right individual will have a motivating passion for automation, deployment processes and enabling innovation. Your efforts will help to shape the engineering culture and best practices across Motorola Solutions' Video and Software organization.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers. US citizenship is required.
Target Base Salary Range : $72,700 USD - $145,400 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
Note : Candidate must be in office once a week at one of the following locations Allen, TX, Salt Lake City, UT or Schaumburg, IL.
