Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Customer Relationship Development and Management:Build and maintain strong relationships at senior DoD leadership levels (SES, O-6, and above)

• Utilize previous industry experience to develop and enhance Motorola's understanding of customer policy, budgeting, and requirements formulation

• Become a trusted adviser to the senior Department of Defense customers and Federal Division partners

• Identify, quantify, and pursue new business opportunities within the DoD

• Orchestrate and lead the extended Motorola team to understand DOD requirements and develop the appropriate strategy, business imperatives, and top opportunities

• Ability to learn, develop, and clearly articulate specific Motorola Solutions strategies to customer senior leadership

• Allocate appropriate resources and obtain full collaboration of internal product groups and external partners as necessary to meet the needs of key accounts and associated strategies

• Deep knowledge and understanding of industry trends, changes, and competitor actions impacting customer decisions

• Ability to explore new customer segments and clearly articulate value proposition for customers and Motorola Solutions

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

• Background:

  • Preference for background in the DoD and or working knowledge of DoD Service; Sales experience with O6 and above

• Experience:

  • Seeking 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or technical roles selling into or working for the various Department of Defense Services and or Federal Law Enforcement Agencies

  • Deep understanding and experience working with US DoD budget cycles

  • Prior experience in selling or designing complex software and communications solutions highly desired

  • A technical background to include experience selling or working with LMR / RF communications, 1st Responder software application platforms (CAD, RMS, E911, Video), cybersecurity solutions, Command & Control (C2) strongly desired

  • Working knowledge of IP networking, Information Assurance and or Cyber Security a plus

• Skills:

  • Direct and oversee the sales process for assigned strategic projects / programs in the DoD;Responsible for initiating customer discussions and managing the entire sales process

  • Excellent communication, sales, and writing skills

  • Demonstrated track record of closing major sales

  • Strong technical acumen and experience with DoD communication systems / networks

  • Solid working knowledge of Salesforce.com, Google Productivity Suite strongly desired

  • Develop and maintain understanding of Motorola Solutions portfolio of solutions

• Support at Events:Participate and/or lead customer discussions at trade shows and other industry events

• Ideal candidate will be able to help customers envision solutions, services, and applications

• Development and execution of sales and go-to-market strategies in a highly collaborative environment

• Understanding of US DoD funding and procurement cycles

• This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

• Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of sales/public safety/military experience

• OR 15 years of sales/public safety/military experience

• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
