Position Summary Information
Position Summary
The Work-Based Learning (WBL) Liaison is responsible for assisting students in securing a wide range of work-based learning opportunities that enhance their education at Mott Community College. These opportunities include internships, externships, apprenticeships, class projects, site visits, co-ops, and other industry collaborations. The WBL Liaison will conduct outreach to employers, prepare students for their WBL experiences, and serve as the primary contact for companies interested in WBL or earn-and-learn opportunities with the college.
This role also involves tracking and monitoring student progress in WBL opportunities and reporting outcomes. The position is housed within the Student Employment Services department in the Workforce and Economic Development (WED) division.
Supervisory Responsibility :
This position will have no supervisory authority but may serve as a group or team leader for assigned programs and projects.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in a field related to Education, Business, Workforce Development, or Adult Education.
- Two years of professional experience in a related role, preferably in education, human services, or workforce development.

Work Schedule
Part-time, 20-25 hours per week / 52 weeks per year. In order to meet operational needs, the position requires the ability to work a schedule that includes daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Some travel may be required.
