We are searching for skilled, driven, and experienced Mortgage Brokers who will actively pursue and source new deals by building relationships with referral sources such as real estate agents, Builders, Contractors, CPAs, Attorneys, etc. Consult borrowers on the best-fit financing solutions to fulfill their housing dreams. Oversee the origination process through product counseling, application, documentation, and closing.
This is a full-time, remote position with offices in Elgin, IL. Requires the ability to develop the local market in person.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop the local market through active relationship management with local real estate offices, banks, CPAs, attorneys, developers, contractors, and community involvement.
- Identify new referral sources and secure meetings to build relationships.
- Participate in professional organizations to build relationships with referral sources.
- Maintain an active social media presence to build brand and relationships
- Participate in local events to expand brand recognition and source new prospective borrowers or referral sources
- Manage a pipeline of referrals and prospect loans to meet your production goals
- Meet with borrowers and lenders to proactively identify the borrower's best finance solution product type, price, and terms
- Counsel borrowers to understand the pros and cons of different loan products to determine the best one.
- Participate in all aspects of the loan origination process, the negotiation of terms, and documentation requirements
- Work with borrowers, real estate agents, loan processors, and lenders to ensure smooth transactions.
- Working with Loan Processors, ensure accurate and timely preparation of all required documents from borrowers, loan officers, title companies, and related industry professionals.
- Coordinate with loan processors and lenders to submit documents and meet the requirements for loan approval.
- Monitor the mortgage process to ensure all company and regulatory processes are followed.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and self-discipline
- Well-spoken and possess effective business-writing skills
- Willingness to make cold calls
- Experience handling a high volume of projects at once
- Proven work experience as a Mortgage Broker, real estate agent, loan origination, or similar role
- Maintain current registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System Registry.
- Knowledge of different types of loans and credit packages
- Experienced with non-conventional, non-qualified products and multi-lingual abilities is a plus.
- Strong understanding of company loan policies, guidelines, and all federal and state regulations.
- Good knowledge of banking and financial management principles
- Customer service experience
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong negotiation and sales skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously
- The ability to manage MLO's and LOA's is a plus. Management of LOs or LOAs would provide additional compensation.
