Business Planning & Decision Support
- Partner with Plant Managers, Business Leaders, and the President to analyze key financial, operational, and strategic decisions, including capital investments and program growth/exit, driving actions to improve performance across financial, operational, and strategic areas.
- Collaborate on the development and execution of key strategic projects to align financial outcomes with business goals.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and increased profitability through in-depth financial analysis.
- Analyze financial data across multiple plants and provide actionable insights, trends, and drivers for presentation to the leadership team.
- Continuously monitor financial, operational, and strategic performance (KPIs) and follow up on unusual trends, variances, and KPI performance to ensure business unit alignment with goals.
- Evaluate and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and business performance.
- Contribute to management reviews by preparing management presentations, financial reporting, working capital analysis, and comparison to budget/forecast.
Forecasting & Planning
- Support the annual budgeting process and long-term strategic planning to maximize shareholder value.
- Provide guidance on the adequacy of monthly and quarterly financial forecasts and offer feedback on operational and strategic plans to ensure alignment with financial goals.
Financial Control
- Lead on-site reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts at various plant locations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor the internal control environment and ensure sound financial reporting practices are followed.
- Collaborate with FP&A to identify key performance drivers and trends across segments for external financial reporting purposes.
- Work with compliance and reporting functions to resolve any critical financial issues in a timely manner.
Talent Management
- Partner with business unit leaders and finance leaders to drive talent development initiatives within the finance team.
- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and direction to finance teams at the plant level, ensuring effective team performance.
- Mentor staff, create an engaging work environment, and foster a culture of continuous development and improvement within the finance function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in a finance role, with progressive levels of responsibility, ideally in a manufacturing or multi-site business environment.
- Strong background in financial analysis and the ability to uncover and implement initiatives to increase profitability.
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and proven experience applying these principles.
- Experience working with and presenting financial information to the management teams.
- Proven track record in managing multiple sites and leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor finance teams while fostering an engaging and collaborative work environment.
- Ability to travel 25-30%, depending on location.
