What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prototype Shop Development Tech position at Motus, LLC?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with lab manager on requests, including timing and capabilities at ADC-BTC lab
- Preparation of test samples including flat molding per engineering requirements, and preparation of test coupons
- Receive and conduct all testing requests for Fiber, added support for headliners and Interior requests in MWD / Mexico as needed (i.e. equipment and timing)
- Maintain lab equipment schedules including any maintenance or repairs needed
- Documenting per report system all test results to lab manager
- Maintain test lab reports log as well as Reports Database
- Maintain daily, weekly and quarterly 5S and cleaning schedules
- Support engineering prototype build activities
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years’ experience in manufacturing and / or laboratory environment
- Compression molding (Soft Trim) experience preferred
- Ability to understand and operate basic technician tools (i.e.: micrometers, calipers, wrenches, etc.)
- Capability of building small fixtures (wood and / or metal) a plus
- Basic computer skills (email, internet, Microsoft Office Tools, etc.)
- High attention to detail and organization, required
- Ability to work independently
