Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Preparation Worker to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the food preparation process, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to assist in various aspects of meal preparation, menu planning, and catering services. A passion for the food industry and a commitment to excellence are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency in meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other food preparation tools.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus that meet dietary requirements and preferences.
- Support catering efforts by preparing food items for events and special occasions.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.

Experience
- Previous experience in a culinary or food preparation role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with menu planning and dietary department operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within the food industry.
- Strong knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- A willingness to learn new techniques.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 17 – 19 per week
