ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

This role is a full-time position. Hours will be Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. There will be occasional late nights during construction of new booths for shows, etc. As a Delivery Driver and Product Placement Operator, you must be able to do the following:

• You must be able to do heavy lifting (carpet/pad rolls & hard surface boxes, boxes of tile, etc, bags of grout, mortar, glue, etc.)
• You must be able to operate & maintain forklifts, dolly's, pallet jacks, carpet cutting machine, tools, saws, etc. We will train on each of these!
• You must have a driver's license, and be able to drive/operate box trucks, pickup trucks, & cargo vans.
• You must be able to work in warehouses /vehicles during all weather. (hot in summer, cold in winter, etc)
• You must be organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
• You must be a team-player.
• You must be a self-starter, who will stay on top of their own workload and know what tasks to prioritize.
• You must have a Class E license. We can pay for this once you’re hired and have passed the test.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role can be summarized by the following responsibilities:

• Maintaining the appearance and maintenance of the outside of our building. This can include salting the parking lot during ice/snow, removing ice/snow, watering trees, adding new mulch in the summer, etc.
• Washing and maintaining the appearance of our vehicles, both the interior and exterior. This can include taking the vehicles for oil changes, repairs, and weekly car washes.
• Unloading and loading big trucks with carpet/pad/pallets of hardwood into customers’ homes. This can sometimes include going up/down stairs, long driveways, etc.
• Organizing and maintaining warehouse inventory.
• Keeping the warehouse clean.
• Using sharp knives/saws/tools to cut carpet and hard flooring to make samples.
• Assisting installers as they load their trucks, this can also be on their job sites.
• Rolling/tagging/organizing/maintaining products, end-lots, and remnants.
• Loading customers’ vehicles with flooring/samples/products
• Being flexible and working well with customers in their homes. Each day can bring something new to your role!
• Representing our locally-owned, family business well in customers’ homes during deliveries.
• Managing a hectic schedule of deliveries and staying on task.
• Using a phone to take photos after each delivery is complete, and google calendar/maps to access route and delivery info.
• Following/learning our procedures/paperwork.
• Working well with others (fellow employees, managers, and customers.)
