What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swing Hairstylist position at Moulin Rouge?
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking hair swings to train as soon as possible.
Swings Hairstylists are responsible for styling wigs & running multiple hair tracks.
This position will report to the Hair/Makeup Supervisor.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Styling of all hair textures.
- Styling/maintenance/cleaning of lace front wigs.
- Work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Maintain a clean sanitized and safe workspace.
- Running ensemble hair tracks.
- Must be knowledgeable in executing and assisting quick changes
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS
- Preferred 1 year experience as a hairstylist in live theatrical workplace.
- Organizational and Communications Skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize, execute and problem solve in a high-pressure situation.
- Familiarity with theatrical backstage work environments and terminology.
- Be able to climb stairs frequently
- Worked days will count toward union days if non-union.
