What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging and Diagnostics Technician position at Mount Auburn Hospital?
**Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic images of the head, chest, abdomen, extremities, or any other body part as ordered by a radiologist
- Competently use CT scan computers, consoles, laser cameras, Medrad Injector, and Dinamap blood pressure monitor
- Follow department protocols when performing CT scans or duties related to CT scanning
- Accurately follow directives given by the supervising radiologist
- Administer oral and intravenous contrast material
- Start and monitor intravenous lines
- Develop and critique film
- Log reactions to contrast in reaction book and computer
- Follow procedures for equipment start up, calibration, and shutdown
