We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Endodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing team.
Position Overview: As an Endodontic Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the Endodontist to provide exceptional care and support throughout the root canal treatment process. You will assist in various clinical procedures, prepare patients for treatment, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure that the office runs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Endodontist during endodontic procedures such as root canal treatments, surgical procedures, and diagnostic testing.
- Prepare and maintain instruments and equipment for patient treatments.
- Take digital radiographs.
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide post-procedure instructions and answer patient questions.
- Record patient treatment notes in the patients digital chart.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and reorder as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Dental Assistant Certification (or equivalent) required.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably in an endodontic or specialty setting.
- Proficiency with dental radiography and digital X-rays.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, sterilization protocols, and infection control procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification is a plus.
